Crusade for the Children, based in Madrid, 140 Calle Velázquez, CIF (tax identification code) G- 81322629, is a non profit association founded in Madrid on Novembre 21, 195, pursuant to Law 191/61 of December 24 and the complementary provisions of Decree 144/65, of May 20, whose statutes have been adapted to the Organic Law 1/2002, of March 22, on the Right of Association and its purposes are to "help, protection and education of children and youngsters of the world, without distinction".

It is registered on the National Register of Associations of the Ministry of Interior with the National Identification Number 160.380, on the Register of NGO's of the AECI - Spanish Agency of International Cooperation and the Register of Civil Entities of the Madrid City Council, as an Association for Development Cooperation, with number 02252.

On January 2007 Crusade for the Children was declared Public Utility Association, according to Order 26/12/2006 from the Ministry of Interior.
